All too often, we become so busy and bound to the tyranny of 'doing' that we fail to recognise the joy and wonder available to us everyday. At The Open Way, we aim to gently remind ourselves of the precious opportunities presented by life and seek ways to engage more creatively with its ephemeral beauty.
The Open Way offers courses and workshops in psychosynthesis and psychospiritual psychology from various venues in and around the South West. In 2021, we will be offering 4-day ‘Discovery of Will’ courses in March, May and October and, also commencing in October 2021 we will be running 'All That We May Be', a year-long programme over 9 weekends that concludes with a 5-day residential.
These courses are facilitated by Samantha Cairns and Peter Crowe

This unique and stimulating course has at its heart the principles and techniques of psychosynthesis, a psycho-spiritual psychology. Psychosynthesis considers the difficulties in life not purely as problems to be solved but as stirrings at a soul level calling each of us to be more fully the person we are meant to be.
The course will introduce key concepts of psychosynthesis and consider their application toward living a more fulfilling life. Over the four days, we will use guided imagery, meditation, creativity and dialogue to explore where and how you find meaning in the everyday.

During the course, each participant is given the opportunity to meet with one of the facilitators to explore their their own process and response to the material presented, in a little more depth in a one-to-one session.
N.B. Attendance on ‘The Discovery of Will’ course is a pre-requisite for the year-long ‘All That We May Be’ programme.
This course forms a unique opportunity to deepen your personal and/or spiritual journey whether or not you intend to continue your studies in psychosynthesis.
The 'All That We May Be' programme picks up from 'The Discovery of Will' to explore the psychospiritual context of psychosynthesis in more depth. It is spread over one year with nine 3-day weekends (Fri-Sun) and one 4-day residential. The course is arranged so that each weekend is integral to and of itself, while building coherently on preceding weekends.
The overarching structure of the programme is provided by a personal exploration of the journey of soulmaking. Modules within this programme draw on a variety of experiential learning techniques, including reflective mediation, guided imagery, volition, creative and archetypal expression.
